Flu vaccine update 2019

Flu vaccines have been delayed this year. The World Health Organisation (WHO) meet in early Spring to decide on which flu strains to include in the vaccines for the forthcoming season. This year they took longer than usual resulting in delay. The latest advice is:-

Flu vaccines for those 65 years and above have already arrived and are being given. Book an appointment if you would like one and are eligible

Flu vaccines for adults under 65 years – we will receive a small delivery in the 2nd week of October with larger delivery in the last week of October

Flu vaccine for children ( nasal ) is scheduled to arrive in mid- October.

Thank you for your patience. We will book appointments for vaccination once we have the relevant supplies.
