First Contact Physiotherapists (FCPs)

First Contact Physiotherapists (FCPs) are highly trained physiotherapists with a specialist expertise in the assessment, investigation and management of musculoskeletal conditions.

You can book an appointment directly via reception, which means you won’t need to see the doctor first. Please note that our physios see patients aged 16 and above.

Please book directly to see Keval or Emma if you have:

• Soft tissue injuries, sprains, strains or sports injuries
• Arthritis – any joint
• Possible problems with muscles, ligaments, tendons or bone, e.g. tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, ankle sprains
• Spinal pain including lower back pain, mid-back pain and neck pain
• Spinal-related pain in arms or legs, including nerve symptoms, e.g. pins and needles or numbness

The FCP physios have longer appointments and will:

• Assess you and diagnose what’s happening
• Give expert advice on how best to manage your condition
• Refer you on to specialist services, or for longer term physiotherapy if necessary.
