Repeat prescriptions & medication reviews

If you need regular medication, your GP will issue a ‘repeat prescription’ for those items. If you are newly registered you will need to speak with the Practice Pharmacist or GP so that your prescription can be added to our records. You will be advised what is required in order to review and re-authorize further supplies. Some patients need a review appointment with the Practice Pharmacist, Nurse or GP and others medication monitoring – such as a blood test and/or blood pressure check.

Online

using the NHS App
or via patient access.

This is the easiest option as your repeat medication will be listed and you can pick the items you require.

Online form

using the repeat prescription request form.

You will need to fill in the form and type in the items you require. Submit the form online or download and hand it in at reception.

We do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions by phone or email.

This is to prevent errors being made and leaves the phone lines free for urgent matters. If there is an emergency the receptionist can put you through to speak with one of our Pharmacy Technicians.

Help Us to Help You

  • Please only order what you need
  • Please order your repeat items in one go rather than scattered over the month. This saves your time and ours
  • Please tell us if the quantity of some of your medications are out of synch with the rest so we can re-align them
  • Please tell us when you stop medication so we can remove it from your repeat prescription
  • Please tell us of you are taking a different dose to that stated so we can amend it.
