What is domestic abuse?

Any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are or have been family members or intimate partners regardless of gender or sexuality.

RASASC South London

The National Rape crisis Helpline is run by Rape Crisis South London (RASASC) and provides free support to women and girls 13+ who have survived any form of sexual violence and at any time in their lives.

Refuge Women’s National Domestic Abuse Helpline

Refuge is committed to a world where domestic violence and violence against women and children is not tolerated and where they can live in safety. They aim to empower women and children to rebuild their lives, free from violence and fear. They provide 24 hour all- female helpline providing support for those who are being domestically or sexually abused.

Respect Men’s Domestic Abuse Helpline

Respect Men’s free advice line advisors will believe you, offer you non-judgemental emotional support, practical advice and information. They also provide support via email.

SV2

SV2 (Supporting Victims of Sexual Violence) will support you regardless of when your experience of sexual abuse or violence occurred. They support all genders form any age and offer counselling to both adults and children.

Kingston Domestic Violence Hub

Survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence may feel particularly alone and at risk during self-isolation. The Kingston Domestic Violence Hub is open and offering support via telephone and email. Their telephone line is open Monday to Friday (9:30 – 17:00).

Childline

Offers free, confidential advice and support for any child 18 years or under, whatever the worry.

If you’re worried about a child, even if you’re unsure, contact NSPCC professional counsellors for help, advice and support.
